How to Become a 2021 Satellite Gym

Are you a gym looking for an event to bring your community together while supporting an amazing cause?

How about the chance to sweat with people from across the country, and compete for awesome prizing?

We’ve got the event for you!

In years past, 24 Hours of Heroes has been run as an in-person 24-hour event, but in order to accommodate the changes and challenges of COVID-19, this year we will be running a virtual event with 2 days of 4 hero workouts per day. This will take place on Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14.

We are looking for motivated gyms to join us in “hosting” the event and running the workouts in their own space. Sound like you? 


As a satellite gym, you would:

  • Host the workouts at your gym. You may choose to host one OR both days.

  • Invite members to sign up, fundraise for your gym’s team and join in one on (or multiple) of the hero workouts.

  • Come together as a fitness community to sweat, have some fun, and support Wounded Warriors Canada and National Service Dogs.

  • Compete against other gyms to fundraise for the chance to win special prizes from our amazing sponsors.


Additional details:

Prior to the event, hosting gyms will be sent a full breakdown of the workouts including details on the Hero we’re commemorating, warm up, and scaling options (this will include at-home options for those with limited equipment). 

We encourage you to share the link and videos with your members/those who have signed up so that they know in advance of that day what to expect. While we encourage you to login to Zoom so that the class can hear us speaking live prior to each workout, we understand space and tech issues might not make that possible. Each day, the workouts will begin at: 10:00am, 11:15am, 12:30pm and 1:45pm (tentative, subject to change)*

The first three workouts per day are approximately 30 minutes to accommodate gym cleaning protocols and member transitions. However, the final workout each day is anticipated to be a little longer. We have chosen workouts with simple movements to better accommodate those completing the workouts individually from home. 

*Note: While we would love to have all hosting gyms on the same schedule and logging into Zoom together, we understand that it might not work at your facility. You may still sign up and fundraise for the event and run it on your own time if required. It’s more important to us to see our communities coming together for this important cause in whatever way they can.

Registration: 

All registration and fundraising will be done via an online platform called Raisin. 

Step 1: Fill out this Google Form with details about your gym

Step 2: Email isabelle@24hoursofheroes.com with your logo files

Step 3: Wait for registration launch

Please note that we are still finalizing our registration/fundraising platform. Once you complete the Google Form and provide us with your logo files, one of our team members will be in touch to keep you updated.

Step 4: Fundraise within your community! 

Once we go “live” and your gym’s page has been completed, you can begin sharing the link with your membership, where they can register to participate and begin fundraising! We are anticipating a September 1st launch.

We are asking that gyms attempt to raise a minimum of $400 for each day you will participate. We know you all like a good competition, so there will be prize packages for the top fundraising gyms! Note: To register/participate in the event, each of your members will be required to donate a minimum of $20 to secure their spot.


Promotional Materials: 

We will send you promotional posters to display around your gym, as well as some digital images to use on social media.

As an added incentive, all gyms that register prior to October 15th will be sent a Wounded Warriors Canada flag to be displayed at their gym!
